The Ed Inquiry Head of the Class Teen Internship Program Educates, Exposes, Employs and Empowers Massachusetts High School students to rise to the challenge of  leadership through placements in the real world of work in the field of education.

Academically motivated students face a very rigorous program where they are trained to work along-side an experienced classroom teacher in virtual classes filled with the most advanced middle school students in Massachusetts. 

Head of the Class is an innovative pilot program, in its 4th year,  serving gifted high school students in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Teen interns learn while they earn in virtual classrooms

Instructors from across the country serve as mentors for Head of the Class Teens and the program provides the skills needed to succeed both now and in the future. 

Whether pursuing a future career in education, leading a team,  communicating effectively in the digital age, or preparing for college, the teens in the Ed Inquiry “Head of The Class” Program will be equipped with the tools they need to thrive and succeed in an ever-changing world.

You must be available during the summer to work in the Summer Session’s virtual classrooms. Teen interns will support our online classes 3 and 1/2 days per week, Monday through Wednesday with Thursday 1/2 day training.

The EDI Teen Council - By Teens for Teens

Head of the Class is a program that demonstrates the leadership talent of the Teens of Massachsuetts.  The program is run by teens for teens with the support of the EDI staff. 

The Teen Council delivers the orientation for new members; creates new content ideas and provides overall leadership for each cohort of Ed Inquiry Teen Leaders. Council members are nominated to their positions and can serve for multiple years up to the start of their freshman year in college.

Teen Council members are compensated for their leadership role and the offices serves as members of the Ed Inquiry management team.
