The Ed Inquiry (EDI) Math Challenge is an in-school math program designed to engage students while they explore a game-like challenge that develops proficiency with foundational math concepts and skills. The program makes extensive use of student data, while engaging and incentivizing students as they are challenged through an online platform. Student activity within the program is continuously collected and monitored to provide guidance for curriculum leaders and math coaches. Adjustments are then made based on student needs. Students will be recognized for their achievement to boost students’ motivation, confidence, and self-esteem, as well as foster a positive learning culture.
“… able to discover patterns in student education data that others miss. … capable of discovering students’ strengths and weaknesses and provide feedback to educators to help the students thrive. … work has also helped reveal inequities in the support systems for advanced African American math students in Massachusetts… “
